God Chosen Us Before Lucifer’s World & Rebellion
- God already had us in mind before he created Lucifer’s world Eph 1:4
- God first chose us and found us before we chose Him
- When God called and saved us, it was not an accident
Lucifer’s World (Age 1- The Antediluvian Age)
- Def of Antediluvian- Of or relating to the time period before the flood
- In the beginning, God created the heaven and earth Gen 1:1
- In the beginning, is the dateless past, it is unknown when the beginning was
- In the beginning, is when God first created the world (Lucifer’s world) Gen 1:1
- When God chose us, he knew that Lucifer was going to corrupt the world
- God was thinking of a people that would not be in rebellion & corruption
- That people God thought of, would be the church because, he is coming back for a church without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing. Eph 5:27
- That is why we should stress and advocate that we should live holy Eph 1:4
- Lucifer’s flood happened between these two verses Gen 1:1-2
- The flood was more devastating and lasted longer than Noah’s flood Gen 1:2, ref O
- All the people in the first creation were destroyed by the flood
God Recreating the World (Age 2- Adam and Eve’s World)
- God came along and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters
- God said let there be light, and that was the beginning of Adam’s world Gen 1:3
- It seems that Satan knew from the foundation of the world that God would have more people, that he would call them his children and that God would make Jesus the head of the church. Eph 1:22
- When we get to the second creation, Satan seems to know of the seed of the woman and what God’s plan is
- Adam’s world lasted until the time of the tower of Babel and in the days of Peleg, the earth was divided into continents Gen 10:25
Age 3 & Age 4 (The World Now & The New World To Come)
- We are currently in Age 3- The world we live in now
- Since the tower of Babel, the earth has been divided into continents
- Age 4 is the new world (a new heaven & a new earth) Rev 21:1
- We are still waiting for this age Rev 21:1
- The earth is going to be melt with a fervent heat II Pet 2:10
Salvation For Both Jews & Gentiles
- Israel came along as God’s earthly people because God wanted a people on the earth
- Israel became God’s people because of the promise of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob’s faithfulness.
- From the Jew’s lineage, Jesus Christ came according to the flesh Matt 1
- We are accepted by him and through him because of Jesus Christ Eph 1:6
- Forgiveness of sins means redemption through the blood of Jesus Eph 1:7
- There can be no forgiveness of sins until we are told about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the blood he shed on the cross
- One cannot be a son of God without receiving the Holy Spirit Rom 8:9
- The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of adoption Rom 8:15
- We have been adopted into God’s heavenly family by the Spirit Rom 8:14-17
- God had one Son and because of his one Son’s obedience many more adoptive sons came into existence.
- Now are we the sons of God I John 3:2
- The mystery of his will is Jews & Gentiles alike being in the church Eph 1:8-11
The Dangers of Idolatry
- There is only one God Eph 4:6
- Israel fell into idolatry in the wilderness Deut 32:15-21
- Anyone contacting demon spirits will open themselves up to evil spirits Eph 4:27
Be Ready To Defend Your Position For The Gospel
- When you are being persecuted for your religion, look at other religions because all religions in the world advocate faithfulness & giving
- People may ask you, why do you all need a place of worship? (Answer) Just like other religions that require a place of worship to their gods that don’t even exist, our True God prefers a meeting place
- People may ask you; how often do you have to go to church and why?
- Don’t just sit there while they are criticizing your church
- When you learn to defend your position, your faith gets stronger
