CLGI.org Privacy and Other Website Policies

Privacy and User Security

1.  CLGI.org does not track, collect, or otherwise obtain user information without permission.  However, use of any “contact,” “feedback,” or, “message board” features require key pieces of user information that will be transmitted to the website committee.  Unless you request a response, or ask a question that implies permission to forward your message to a non-website-committee member, your data will not be made available to parties outside the website committee.

2.  While CLGI.org intends to minimize scripting, there are occasions (such as the “Last 5 Messages” section of the Message Board page) when Javascripts are used to enhance the user experience.  These scripts will not compromise your security and privacy in any way.  However, please be mindful that links posted to the message board, and files available under “user downloads” are not controlled by CLGI.org and may present a security risk to you.  Though the website committee attempts to screen all files and links posted, you are advised to proceed cautiously when following these links.  You are further advised to perform anti-virus checks on all downloaded files prior to opening.

3.  The CLGI.org message board uses session tracking for log-in and posting purposes.  If you log in, a “cookie” file will be placed on your computer.  This is an extremely common internet practice, and is used only to maintain your log-in status (so that you needn’t log in over and over again).  No information about you is harvested by CLGI.org.  No spyware or adware is loaded onto your computer.  However, you may browse the message board without logging in or registering, but you will not be able to post.

4.  Information used to log in and/or post an announcement on the CLGI.org message board is public domain.  Although the decision to move away from a password-protected message board allows more members to access the messages, it also increases the risk that your email and other personal information may be harvested by “spammers.”  By registering and/or posting, all users must first agree that they understand these risks (further outlined in the registration agreement).

1.  While the bulk of this site is controlled by the CLGI Website Committee, there are several sections of the site that are “user domain.”  These include the “User-Submitted Downloads,” the “Seminars,” and the “Message Board.”  The Church of the Living God Intl., Inc. offers these features as a service to our members, but will not be held liable for views, opinions, files, etc., posted therein.
