Mission Statement

The Elect Ladies MISSION is to develop the Women of the Church Of The Living God, Int'l, Inc., into ELECT LADIES with high standards and to financially support the CLGI Headquarters with revenues raised at their Annual Conference.

AS STATED IN THIS MISSION STATEMENT WE:

Believe that God's ELECT LADIES must be one of excellence and professionalism, enabled to help others (proverbs 10: 10-31). She must be equipped to encourage others, realize she is equal and not feel inferior to her fellow sisters in Christ. She is one who is esteemed highly because she is an example to other women in society

Believe, according to the scripture, that Adam was created first, but he was lonely and without Eve and could not produce after his kind. (Gen. 2:18-25) Therefore, God created the woman to be a help meet for the man and placed her by his side. We believe that God created Eve to enhance and complement Adam because God had created an ELECT LADY for him.

Believe the Apostle John, in 2nd John 1: 1, used the term "ELECT LADY" to signify a prominent and special Christian lady known throughout her community by a spirit of excellence. "The Elder, to the chosen lady and her children whom I love in the truth-and not only I, but also all who know the truth." She displayed the love of Christ to her family and throughout the Churches in Ephesus. Among the biblical scribes and history's heroes, her life sets a precedent, for she was uncommon, invaluable and a priceless jewel.

Believe the ELECT LADY had high standards and was a pillar among women. Her standards were so high that the Apostle John mentions them in the first words of his letter as he identified her integrity, purity, and professionalism, which were impossible to overlook. The ELECT LADIES of the Church of the Living God desire to believe and reflect the same standards as the Elect Lady of the Apostle John's day. We believe that it is God's desire for every women to be all that He created her to be at any age, whether young or old. The time has come for the church to assist women of today in maintaining these high standards.

Believe it is our MISSION to financially support the Headquarters of the Churc Of The Living God, International, Inc. and Establish, Educate, Train, and Develop our women to become GOD'S ELECT LADIES. AMEN

Leader: We, as holy women, believe the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible and inerrant in the original writings. We hold the Word of God to be the only authority in all matters and assert that no doctrine can be true or essential, if it does not find a place in this Word. We respect the interpretation of Bishop Joseph white, our Founder.
Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Leader: We, as holy women, believe Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, is the son of God, the second person in the Godhead of the Trinity. We also believe that Jesus Christ sitteth on the right hand of the Father, now as mediator between God and man. We believe that Jesus was and is eternal in His person and nature as the Son of God and was with God in the beginning of the Creation.
Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Leader: We, as holy women, believe that the Holy Ghost is a gift from God, and that it is the Spirit of Truth 'which proceeds from the Father and Son and is equal with the Father and Son and that He is the third person of the Trinity.
Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Leader: We, as holy women, believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost is a gift from God, subsequent to conversation and sanctification and that speaking in tongues is the consequence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and is evidence of the fruit of the Spirit.
Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Leader: We, as holy women, believe that man was created in the image of God and that sin brought death to all in his fall. We believe in repentance from sin, in the atonement by the substiutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ for the propitiation of the sins of the world.
Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Leader: We, as holy women, believe that Angels are heavenly spirit beings and serve as messengers or ambassadors of God. In heaven, their duty is to serve God. The Psalmist says they are to do the will of God.
Congregation: Remembering our HERITAGE. ALWAYS.

Leader: We, as holy women, believe that the Holy Ghost searches the deep things of God. We believe that he makes intercession for us, convicts men of sin, righteousness and judgment.

Unison: Heavenly Father, as holy women help us to lead spirit-filled controlled lives. We are told in your Word to be filled with the Spirit and walk not after the flesh. Dear God, help us to believe and memorialize our predecessors: Elder Beulah White, Mother Mary Jefferson, Mother Marshall, Rev. Patricia Woods, Missionaries Ernestine John and Freda Clark, and all who have and will contribute to this beautiful way of holiness. Grant us dear Lord, the sincerity and courage to say from the depths of our hearts.
